Ceramic Headlight Coating for New Headlights
New Headlight Protection is a ceramic UV coating for headlights that are still clear. For $79 a pair, we prep the lenses and seal them so the East Texas sun has a much harder time yellowing them. It adds up to 3 years of extra UV and oxidation protection.
Who it's for
- New cars and trucks
- Headlights that were just replaced, including after collision repair
- Expensive LED and HID headlights you want to keep perfect
Why new headlights still need protection
The factory UV coating on a new headlight is thin. In Texas sun, many lenses start to haze within a few years. A ceramic coating adds a tough, UV-resistant layer on top, so the factory finish lasts longer and the lens stays clear.
How it works
We wash the lens, remove any bonded grime, and do a light prep so the coating can bond properly. Then we apply the ceramic coating by hand and let it set. No sanding is needed on new or undamaged lenses, so most cars are done in about 45 minutes.
Already yellow?
New Headlight Protection is for lenses that are still clear. If yours are already hazy or yellow, you need a full restoration, which includes this same ceramic coating at the end. See our car, truck and SUV, and European and luxury restoration services.

New Headlight Protection questions
How long does a ceramic headlight coating last?
Up to 3 years of extra protection, depending on sun exposure and how the car is washed. Avoid harsh degreasers and pressure washers aimed right at the lens.
Can you coat headlights that are slightly hazy?
If there's visible haze, the coating would seal it in, so we'll recommend a restoration instead. We'll tell you which one your car needs.
Is the coating safe for my car?
Yes. It's applied only to the plastic lens, and we tape off the surrounding paint and trim.
